Hello all! Its been awhile since weve run this column, but a collection of reader feedback and questions have been collecting regarding herbs and health that I would like to share with you.
Hi,
Im 26 years old, and married six months back. My periods were regular. But now I missed my two periods. We are having protected sex so I dont think Im pregnant.
Heard that parsley tea is a good herbal tea to induce my periods. So today, I had a cup of it. I prepared a tea with half-spoon of Red Label tea powder and sugar. Then into this tea i put 1 tablespoon of fresh parsley leaves. Is there any problem if i put tea powder in my parsley tea? How many days should I drink this to get my periods started? Im so tense because of
this. Could you please clarify my doubts?
Is there any other home remedies to induce my periods???
Thanks in advance,
Divya
Hi Divya!
I dont want to scare you but protected sex is not 100% fool proof. Sometimes some semen can leak out. Make sure you check with your doctor just to be on the safe side.
It is very humid where we live and I heard somewhere that you can use witch hazel to keep your hair from falling. What I didnt hear was how to use it. Do you spray it on before drying your hair or after its dry and styled? Thanks for any help you can give me.
Sincerely,
Judy
Dear Judy,
You can spray it on your hair and allow it to dry naturally.
Hi Witch Hazel,
I have just started using fresh parsley tea, because I was searching the internet for the reason why I am two weeks delayed. I just read about it on some other site.
I went to the grocery and bought some fresh parsley and put it in boiling water (I didnt measure the parsley). Now I am reading some facts about parsley, and Ive found that we (users of parsley tea) need to be extra careful, because it is suggested when making parsley tea (like what youve said) it has to be two tablespoons. Is there any problem with what I did, because I didnt use an exact amount?
Thank you very much. Hope to hear from you.
Dear Slow Flo,
Its a good thing that you went back to re-read the instructions. However, to help you further, here is a link to a site where more of your questions can be answered.
Dear Witch Hazel,
I am interested in using herbs for various purposes, but the herbs available at the nearby occult supply shop are very expensive, and I am
unable to grow my own at the moment. I was wondering though, could I tear open a teabag and use whats inside?
Thanks so much,
Clarissa.
You could if all you wanted was a remedy for puffy eyes. Otherwise the herbal preparations are conducted to assist with alleviating a particular problem. You may want to try azuregreen.com where you can get small amounts of herbs at a very reasonable cost.
Hi Witch Hazel,
My mother has dermatitis all over her hands. When it gets bad, it goes all the way up to her elbows. I have heard that aloe vera gel may help the soreness. Would it help to add
some vitiamin E to the aloe vera gel? If so how much would you recomend?
Dear Aloe Vera Person,
Vitamin E would help but the fact that she has it so badly indicates that something internal is going on. I would highly suggest that you go to the site wellnessresources.com and investigate some of the featured vitamins to help with dermatitis and dry skin. That company is owned and operated by a clinical nutritionist who got tired of the public being shafted with the bogus vitamins on the market that do nothing.
Humor me for a moment and all readers need to go grab your multivitamin bottles. Flip it over and look at the section for Vit B12. If you see in parenthesis (cyanocobalimin) you are basically taking CYANIDE that is bound to the B12 and yes it is LEGAL!
We in the U.S. are bombarded with tons of toxic chemicals in our food, water and air. Throw in cheap vitamins that further damage the system and you have a chaotic metabolic system.
If it is worth anything, I have had people with terminal illness use those vitamins along with a steady diet of organic food and quite frankly the transformation has been astounding!
Thanks for reading. I will be back next month with more from our readers and will be happy to answer your herbal and spiritual questions. Feel free to drop a line at witchhazel@morbidoutlook.com
